Checked against the Instagram Help Center on 22 October 2026. Apps rename their menus now and then, so if a label looks different, start from Edit profile.
Get more taps
- Put your most important link first. Only the first one shows in full under your bio; the rest sit behind “and more”.
- To change the order, go to Edit profile, then Links, tap Options and then Reorder links.
- Say where the link goes in your posts and stories, like “new single at the link in my bio”.
- One link page that holds everything means you never have to swap the link for each new post.
If it doesn’t work
Instagram says the link isn’t allowed
Instagram checks links against its rules and turns some away, including some sites on teen accounts. Check the page your link points to and try again.
You’re on a computer
Adding links is done in the Instagram app for iPhone and Android, so open the app on your phone.
The link opens the wrong page
Copy the link straight from the page you want rather than typing it, then paste it in again.

Questions
How many links can I add to my Instagram bio?
Up to five. The first shows in full under your bio, and people tap “and more” to see the rest.
Why can’t I click links in Instagram captions?
Instagram only makes links tappable on your profile, in stories with a link sticker and in a few other places, so captions and comments stay plain text. That’s why people say “link in bio”.
Can I add a link to my Instagram bio from a computer?
Instagram’s steps for adding websites are for the iPhone and Android apps. Use your phone, then the links show everywhere, including on the web.
Should I use five links or one link page?
Five links fill up fast and only the first shows in full. A link page like Suprlink holds everything behind one short link, and you can change it without touching Instagram.
